PPWR relies on the generosity of many individuals, corporations, foundations and community groups to support local counselling and education. For example a donation of just $36 will make sure that one person receives help from our counselling program. This is just one of the many ways that your support will help people in the community.

Presently, PPWR does not receive funding support from Planned Parenthood Federation of Canada or any other Planned Parenthood organization, and is without core funding or United Way membership and grant monies. We receive on source of annual support, a grant of $30,711 from the Region of Waterloo, which accounts for 16% of our annual budget. We must raise the remaining 84% of our annual budget in order to maintain vital pro-choice programs.

To support the important work of Planned Parenthood Waterloo Region, you can:

• Send your cheque payable to Planned Parenthood Waterloo Region. We will gladly send you a charitable tax receipt for any donation of $10.00 or more. If you wish to make a Planned Gift, such as a gift of stocks or bequest, please contact our Fundraising Coordinator or visit our local Leave a Legacy site.

• Make an online donation through CanadaHelps - and online giving portal for charitable organizations. They will process your donation, send you a tax receipt, and forward the donation to us.

• Direct your United Way contributions to us. Please remind your friends and colleagues that they can designate all or part of their United Way contribution to any Registered Charitable Organization in Canada, including those who are not United Way member agencies such as PPWR. The Donor Choice programs allows you to designate your contribution to the organization of your choice.
• Contact us to find out more about our programs, our upcoming events and how you can get involved. Perhaps you would like to volunteer, or provide in-kind support. We would be happy to talk with you about different ways we can work together.

The Choices Fund
The Choices Fund has been established to help stabilize the financial future of Planned Parenthood Waterloo Regio (PPWR), and to ensure continued access to pro-choice sexual health counselling, education and information in this Region.

The Choices Fund is a donor designated fund with the Kitchener & Waterloo Community Foundation. Any donors can now make gifts to this fund where they are guaranteed that the capital will be invested, and the earnings will always support the work of Planned Parenthood Waterloo Region.
